Myths your customers believe

Posts that correct a myth earn trust. Your plan includes them, with your business name attached.

Myth. Tyres last until the tread is completely gone

Fact. Grip drops sharply as tread wears, especially in rain. Replace tyres before they reach the tread wear indicators.

Myth. Old tyres are fine if the tread looks good

Fact. Rubber hardens and cracks with age. Check the manufacturing date and condition, not just tread.

Myth. Alignment is only needed after an accident

Fact. Potholes and kerbs knock alignment out over time. Check it regularly and whenever the car pulls or tyres wear unevenly.

Myth. Nitrogen means you never need to check pressure

Fact. Nitrogen may lose pressure more slowly, but tyres still need regular checks.

How to check tyre tread at home

  1. Find the tread wear indicators in the grooves
  2. See if the tread is close to their level
  3. Check all four tyres, as wear can differ

Questions your customers ask

When should I replace my tyres?

When tread approaches the wear indicators, if there are cracks, bulges or cuts, or if tyres are quite old. We inspect and advise honestly.

How often should I get wheel alignment?

Periodically, and whenever the car pulls, the steering is off-centre or tyres wear unevenly.

Can a punctured tyre be repaired?

Many tread punctures can be repaired. Sidewall damage usually cannot. We check and tell you.

Do I need to replace all four tyres?

Not always. It depends on wear and the car. We advise based on condition, not sales targets.

What does balancing do?

It evens out weight around the wheel so it spins smoothly, reducing vibration at speed.

What warranty do tyres have?

Warranty is given by the manufacturer. We explain the terms for the tyre you choose.
